... Down down down she went
Just arrived and feeling dizzy?
Mind confused and brain all fizzy?
I'm not surprised you're in a tizzy!
But welcome travelers from worlds of old
You'll find our town a welcome home
And if your wandering bones are cold,
Why not join us down The Rabbit Hole?
[ooc: Welcome everyone to Burby! Upon arrival, your character may see this sign outside of the impressive hotel near the centre square, The Rabbit Hole. To welcome the new guests, the proprietress of this fine establishment has set up an informal tea in the main lobby. Feel free to wander in and mingle amongst the other travelers. Tea, wine, and refreshments provided!]

'scuuuuuse me? [She calls a little tentatively. Hey, even she knows it's not the best idea to go running into some strange place now. All those
patienceairbending lessons with Tenzin paid off in that respect, at least.] Anyone here?Re: /wanders in
Welcome, my lady!
[He bows deeply]
We are honored to have your presence at our humble banquet!

I think you've got the wrong person, buddy. I'm just trying to get home. Where can I get a ride back to the Southern Water tribe? Or uh Republic City's good, too.

It might be worth trying to charm this wallflower. But I can't promise you the use of both your hands afterwards. She's leaning against a shadowy wall, all dressed up in metal armor that fits her like a second skin, her hair the iron gray of an aging woman. She seems displeased. ]

[Real tea, though. That's something. He cradles the cup in his hands and sits outside on a step, uncaring if he's in the way. Where he's sitting, he'll be able to see anyone coming or going, which is exactly his intention.]
[For those observant, they'll see that Sokka wears his hair in a wolftail with the sides and back shaved. He's dressed in a very worn blue tunic with white trim, and darker trousers, threadbare at the knees. His boots of brown leather are scuffed and well-worn. Closer inspection will show that some areas of his exposed skin are covered with some very thin, very straight parallel scars, well on their way to healed, but fresh enough to be pink against his dark skin. They circle him in an odd pattern, evenly spaced by millimeters, but they've somehow managed to avoid his face and hands.]
[With him, he carries a pack and some weapons, including a sword, all of which is tucked under his knees for safe keeping.]
[Approach with caution.]

Korra steps outside, wanting a bit of fresh air before she tries to ask around for information again, and nearly runs into Sokka along the way.]
Oh, sorry! Didn't see you there.
[She takes a step back then frowns.] Hey, wait. Those clothes...

very very late but open!
Gabranth's memory of escaping the tower is dim, but he is fairly sure he does not recall taking any route that would lead him to such a quaint setting. Had the magicks loosed by the Sun-Cryst whisked him to some far corner of Ivalice? Or is this only a Mist-fueled delusion, or something even lesser than that?
But the ache in his body, the ever-present reminder of the battle he'd lost and shame he'd sustained, seems evident of this being no mere delusion. Whatever the answer to this mystery may be, he won't find it unless he takes action and investigates. With his swords crossed at his back and armor heavy on his limbs, he carefully makes his way into the hotel.]

the latest of the late, but open.
Further investigation is certainly in order, which prompts him to enter the establishment with the cryptic message outside. It certainly implies, to a degree, that his arrival was hardly an unprecedented or unique situation.
So he walks in and examines the lobby, tilting his head as he returns his tricorder to the pocket on the side of his uniform.]

She helps herself to tea and sandwiches, but doesn't stay at the table; instead she finds an armchair in a quiet corner. She wonders vaguely to herself where she can find some clothes, as hers look like they've been in a collapsing building - and that's not even mentioning the blood.
Someone somewhere is probably having the vapours about the state of that chair.]
