[Hey, wait, indeed! Sokka looks up over his tea and takes in the girl in front of him. For a second, his mind needs to race to catch up to his heart. A familiar face? Now there's something worth thinking about.]

[The tribesman stands immediately.]

Korra! [He steps forward, one hand keeping the tea while the other reaches out and gives her upper arm a squeeze indicative of familiarity.] When did you get here? Did the others come with you?

[Uh hi, unfamiliar person right in her personal space.]

Uhhmmm, wait. Do I know you?

His eyes glaze over a bit and he smiles at her, voice smoothing out.] I'm Sokka, of the Southern Water Tribe. You're... from my future. The Avatar after my friend, Aang. I guess you can say you're kind of famous where I come-- came from.

I, uh... I come from the Southern Water Tribe -- like you -- and I used to carry a boomerang and a spacesword but I lost them in the war -- The Hundred Year War is what you guys call it, I think? -- and I guess I'm some sort of... council member. [Said with some amount of distaste, mostly because he always fancied he'd be an awesome warrior when he grew up.]

Heard it all, Korra. The last-- I, uh, I heard all of it from you in the last place I was. You and your friends. Mako, Asami, Bolin... Ringing any bells?

[Most of the sarcasm has fallen away and he looks almost apologetic.]
