Getting a Dog: Pros and Cons

Pros
1. Dogs are great companions.
2. It would be kind to take in a stray.
3. Pets lower your blood pressure.
4. I want one.
5. It will teach Shirley responsibility. And structure.

Cons
1. If we leave, the dog will still be here, all alone.
2. I would miss the dog if we left it here.
3. We live in a hotel room. Dogs need space.
4. It may be a crazy magic dog or something. (Note to self: make sure dog isn't really a man.)

Yeah, I still don't know if this is a good idea.

I don't think walkies are going to be enough. Sometimes dogs just get bored of staring at the same four walls and decide to chew on all of your things instead.

I don't think dogs really have a reason for doing that, actually. Sometimes they just like chewing.

They probably do it more if they're bored.

Well, I figure that'd work out pretty well. Since you're always complaining about being bored.

I doubt we'll be able to synchronize our boredom that closely.

Also, you should totally stop using me as an excuse. That doesn't go so far in convincing me as it seems to do for you.

Yes. I'm completely pro-dog once we find somewhere to live that has both a sitting room and a kitchen.

We'd better find someplace pre-furnished or the sitting room will be the sitting-on-the-floor room.

We should cover the entire floor in king-sized futons. Then we won't even need furniture!

If I'm trailing cigarette ashes all over the apartment the fact that I'm sitting in a closet is probably the least of your concerns.

True. Anyway, that doesn't help. You could put a ponytail holder on the knob or something.
