Small white notices are going up in various businesses across Burby. Hand-written neatly, they say simply:

Seeking information about an incident that occurred at - (and this is the address of Alec's business) - on 12 April. If you were in the area and saw anything at all unusual, please report to - (and this, not unexpectedly, is the address of the tiny police station where Lin holds court).

These notices are accompanied by another one, written in the same careful handwriting.

Burby Police Force is recruiting new officers. Please apply in person on Monday, 29 Apr to - well, you get the point.

Lin has been busy, no matter what any private detectives might be saying.

From what I've seen, the natives don't care that much. Death seems to mean something very different to them.

Well, maybe they also come back after a while. [ Lin rolls her eyes. Yeah, she might not have any luck asking someone to help her solve an un-murder, but she has to at least try. ] Attempted murder is just as bad as completing it. The intent was still there.
