Getting a Dog: Pros and Cons

Pros
1. Dogs are great companions.
2. It would be kind to take in a stray.
3. Pets lower your blood pressure.
4. I want one.
5. It will teach Shirley responsibility. And structure.

Cons
1. If we leave, the dog will still be here, all alone.
2. I would miss the dog if we left it here.
3. We live in a hotel room. Dogs need space.
4. It may be a crazy magic dog or something. (Note to self: make sure dog isn't really a man.)

Yeah, I still don't know if this is a good idea.

Except for the whole 'lizards who breathe fire' thing. Wouldn't he burn his throat?

No. From what I know they expel a gas that ignites upon contact with the air. It's not actually within them. Chewing the stone which mixes with their stomach gasses - in a separate stomach, kind of like a cow's - which is they burped out.

That's actually pretty cool. I think my roommate would use that to light cigarettes or something, though. You may not want to tell her that your pet is a portable lighter.

Trey's flames aren't that well controlled. I think he'd make a lousy lighter. Plus I'd have to feed him the stone which I don't keep on me.

But, I can see her trying to use him as a lighter.
