Anyone who bothers looking up at the sky today might notice a large black dragon flying overhead. Anyone who doesn't immediately run for cover might notice the fact that said dragon appears to be rather frantic and occasionally yells "Laurence! Laurence, are you here?" in a British accent. If you happen to be standing somewhere next to a large enough spot for him to land in he might attempt to come talk to you.

[ooc: Because descriptions are key with non-human book characters: He is glossy black, with bluish markings on his wingtips, and blue eyes with slitted pupils like a cat's. He has four legs with five talons each and a pair of wings with six spines each. He has a ruff around his face and tendrils that hang from his lower jaw. He is probably around 100ft long, though he is far longer than wide and tends to coil his tail around himself when sitting.]

At first, the dragon's conversational style gave Iroh a bit of whiplash, but it doesn't take him long to adjust.

"Who is Laurence?" he asks. "Is he another dragon like you?"

"Oh, no. He is my captain so he is human of course, though I would also be happy to see another dragon. Well, perhaps not Iskierka." Temeraire makes what is, for a dragon, an annoyed face while thinking about the very troublesome firebreather who stole his lieutenant away, and keeps wanting to try to make an egg with him.

"Laurence is a gentleman with yellow hair." Temeraire is not really sure what would be considered his other important features, since he tends to resist wearing lavish coats with many jewels.

Iroh stroked his beard. "I've seen a few men with yellow hair," he said. "Is he a tall man?"

"Yes, I think he is fairly tall." Honestly, you're all so tiny human height is not something he pays much attention to.

The more Iroh thought about it, the more he was pretty sure he hadn't seen the dragon's man. "I'll keep an eye out for him," he said.

And then, because he couldn't resist. "Do you drink tea?"

"I do! I do not get the chance to drink it very often, but I first had it when visiting my mother in China and now I enjoy it very much."

At least, whenever there is a vessel large enough to drink it from.
