So... we should probably have a funeral. For Alec. It doesn't seem right otherwise. Anyone know what religion he practiced? [ She's not even sure if he had one. ] Anyway, just something small, I think. Does that sound okay?

...I've never really planned one before, so I could use some help.

I've never really gone looking. I guess we could start one if we had to. But surely some people die. Sometimes.

If you must you can have people lie and say nice things about him.

People die all the time. It's a fact of nature. If I were to get sentimental about it, I'd be horribly depressed all the time.

Of course not - she can't kick me off a case that was never mine to begin with. I am a little put out that she kicked Conan off of it, though, because I wouldn't have minded the excuse to watch him work.

We don't know why or how -- at least, Chief Bei Fong isn't telling yet if she does -- but someone put a sword through him earlier this week.
